oh summer... we miss you!

This last summer was wonderful! It was so nice to have Logan around more and to be together as a family. We stuck around in Saskatoon for most of the summer with Logan working and all. He has a little window and gutter cleaning business which kept him as busy as he wanted to be all summer. It has been such a blessing for our little family since he has been able to provide for us, as well spend lots of time together. Almost every night we would go on a bike ride and head to a park with Meah. It's just simple little things like that that make me miss summer so much and make me so happy. Some other things we did while here in S'toon for the summer were walking down Broadway Avenue a few times (it has lots of cool shops to see), went to a few festivals, BBQ's with friends, movies, eating out a few times, building projects, going for walks, went to garage sales, swimming and just hanging out! Summers here in Saskatoon are GORGEOUS and we just loved having so much time to be together. I love our little family!
We also were able to have some visitors this summer... Dust & Kort and Tess & Bryan. It is so fun to have visitors and we really appreciate when family make the long and boring drive out to see us! It is so much fun to be able to have some time to spend just with one family since when we go home it is usually mass gatherings, which are awesome, but it is also so fun to be able to spend some time with individual families too!
We also went back to AB a few times. It was great to head home and be with our families too! We miss them so much since we are far away for most of the year. We have such a great time when we are with both of our families and I am always looking forward to the next time we get to be with them. We were able to spend some time in Brooks & Taber the Canada Day long weekend, as little Benny was being blessed that weekend. It was so fun to see everyone and enjoy some days on Lake Newell (quite a little hidden gem of a lake!). We were also able to go back for the August long weekend and spend time with the Orrs and just hangout and have fun! It was kind of last minute so there wasn't much planned, but it was so great. Sometimes it's way better to have nothing planned and just hang out and do whatever! One night the boys slept in the teepee and we were able to watch a movie in there too. The Orrs have it setup on their farm for the summer so that's pretty sweet! After the long weekend we stayed in AB until we headed to Arizona for a week with some friends from Saskatoon. It was so fun to go for the week and have a party everyday! We all left our kids behind so it was even more of a vacation. We swam in the pool lots, went to a Diamondbacks game, went to the temple, did lots of shopping, went to movies, did some golfing, went to eat out lots and just hung out and played games. It was such a great week and we are so grateful for all the friends we have here in Saskatoon.
When we got back we were able to do the Fort Macleod Triathlon. We really hadn't trained at all (I wish we would have now), but it was so fun! We just did the sprint but I will definitely do that again. We were able to do it with Logan's Dad, which was awesome. He dominated me and Log that is for sure! We also were able to hit up the Wolsey family reunion that weekend too, which was great! Family is so great and I wish we could see all of our families a little more!
I think we will always look back on this last summer and remember how wonderful it was. I'm so grateful for Logan and how hard he works for our little family, whether he is in school or working. I am also so grateful we were able to spend some good quality time together this summer and re charge all our batteries for this crazy school year. Adieu sweet sweet summer.... until we meet again next year!

We were able to get some family pictures done before Keeyah headed out on her mission to Zambia. It was great to finally get some pictures of the three of us too! Thanks to Logan's cousin Brock for taking these for us!

After the triathalon!

Date night at State & Main!

Camping trip to Jackfish Provinical Park with the Wildes!

We loved having the Orr's come visit us! We went on a sweet bike ride, swimming, went for sushi, watched movies and just hung out. It was great!

We spent about 1 week trying to assemble this shed! It was so frustrating. I'm glad Logan has the patience for these kinds of things!

Meah kept nailing her hed on the door frame while she was bouncing around, so Logan thought the touque might protect her little head... :)

One of Log's little projects was to refinish the gun his Grandpa Orr gave him. He did such a great job!

Happy Fathers Day to my love! I couldn't ask for a better husband and dad for meah!

My cute little buddy.

We were at the Wight's for a few days and every morning Anni would come and see what Meah was wearing and try and match her... it was the cutest!

Orr Family Vacay!

Alright I am doing some serious catching up here but I really want to at least record some of our fun times we have together as family! We were able to go to AZ with the Orrs for a week in May and spend some time together before Logan's sister Keeyah left for her mission to Zambia. It was AWESOME! We had such a great time and played hard for that week. It seems all our Arizona trips include pretty much all the same things, but hey I'm not complaining, it sure is always a good time and wouldn't want it any other way! We did lots of shopping, playing in the pool, lounging around, hiking, golfing, games, fires at night, movies, trampoline arena and of course eating! It was such a relaxing and fun week, especially after surviving the month of April with Logan in finals and moving to another place. Here are some pictures of our memorable week with the Orrs!

Log and his sick tricks!

Some good old chicken fighting.

My two cuties!

One year older and wiser too? Log and I were able to go on a fun date for my birthday and that was definitely a highlight of the trip. We went to the trampline arena, did some shopping, dinner and a movie. I may or may not have fallen asleep during the movie.. but hey I'm getting old!

The boys were able to go for a round of golf!

Meah just loving the ride.

Group shot during our little hike.

I love Meah's little tongue poking out in this one!

This picture just kills me... Meah looks huge! I love it. hahaha. I sure love these two together. Meah loves her cousins and she is sure lucky to have them!

The whole fam after church.

Our little fam!

When we got home to Alberta we were able to go to the temple together. It was such a special evening.

We don't get to see Gran all that much so I'm glad we were able to spend some time with her and snag a picture with her too!

Last picture with our favorite Aunt Keeyah! We sure miss her already but she is one great missionary! Watch out boys... she'll be home in 16 months! :)
