Our First Saskatoon Fall!

WOW these past few months have flown by! We have loved our time in Saskatoon so far. We have been able to get to know so many awesome people and are enjoying spending lots of time together too! It was such a nice Fall and the weather slowly eased us into the cold winter weather we are experiencing now. Just doing a little backtracking here to Thanksgiving. We headed back home to Southern Alberta  We were able to spend some time with both of our families and of course eat a lot of amazing food! It was such a great break. Of course it is a special time of the year to reflect upon the many blessings that we enjoy. I am so grateful for the the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as my family and friends. We only have ONE picture to show for our fun weekend... too bad!

Most of us Baldry's were able to make it home. It was so fun! We sure did miss the Jen, Darin, Anni and Preston though! Unfortunately we didn't get a picture with the Orr's, but I am hoping to be better at Christmas. We love our families!

Halloween 2011
Well unfortunately I had to work this year on Halloween, but we were still able to have some fun with friends on the Saturday. Saskatoon is so great because there are so many wonderful people here so it was great to get together with some of them! (Thanks to Chloe for the picture). Logan was "Jean" for Halloween... haha! Like every year on Halloween, we both didn't really get anything together for our costumes until the night before the party, so we headed to the great Value Village and tried to put together something. Unfortunately everyone else and their dog was there too, so we had to be creative. As we were walking through the aisles we were noticing the large amount of jean material clothing.... so Logan came up with the idea to be a JEAN MAN for Halloween... I thought it was pretty funny, so he decided to do it. So he got a jean cowboy hat, made jean hair, jean jacket, jean shirt, jeans, and made some pretty awesome jean shoes. He is so creative, I love it! And the glasses of course were just a nice touch. I came straight from the hospital and was a nurse for Halloween, so hopefully next year I don't have to work and I'll be something a little more exciting.

Oh we carved some pumpkins too!

Next up was Rememberance Day weekend. The Wight's came out and visited us and it was so fun to have them and have our first visitors in our little home. Jenna and Darin lived here in Saskatoon for a few years, so it was fun for them to come and re-visit their old home too. It was just so great to hangout and be together. We sure do love them!

The Boys... Logan and Darin. As you can see, Logan is in the early stages of his Movember moustache there... I am so glad it is December now! :)

Jenna and Preston... aren't they the cutest?

Logan's birthday was closely approaching when they came to visit so they brought some presents for him from my parents and other siblings, as well from them. They are too good!

Darin gave Logan a great haircut. I have yet to give Logan a haircut and I keep meaning to, but then other people offer to or we go home, so this just prolonged it another month.. wheew!

We love Anni!

My family has always been Oilers fans, and so with every son-in-law my parents have welcomed them into the family with an Oilers jersery, so this is what Logan got for his birthday! Everyone in my family says Logan looks like Taylor Hall, so they got him his jersey. What a good looking man!

Uncle Logan and Annika!

Next up.... Logan's Birthday!
Well, his birthday wasn't as eventful and fun-filled as I had hoped it would be for him because unfortunately his birthday rolls around before finals every year. But he still took some breaks from studying and we still had some fun! I made some breakfast for him, he requested Eggs Benedict so I attempted it for the first time and enjoyed that together. Then we headed to the gym and played some squash which is always fun! After that we went to a local restaurant and had some lunch. It was pretty tasty! He hit the books again for the afternoon and then we headed to our ward Christmas party. After that some friends came over and we were able to play some games and have some cake.
I sure do love this boy! Logan is such a patient and amazing husband. He is always so considerate and thoughtful and really makes me want to be better each day. He is so devoted to the Gospel, as well to our little family. I feel so blessed to have him as my husband and to be able to be with him everyday! I can't imagine my life without him and he just makes me so happy!

Every year on his birthday he will be at the prime stage of his moustache growth! :)

Oh yes... and last little blurb here... we celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary back in October. It has been such a wonderful year! We went on a little weekend getaway to Regina. It was so fun! We went out to the Keg and used our last gift card and as well went to the temple. It was so great to be in the temple, especially on our Anniversary weekend. Marriage is the best!

Summer 2011

So I thought since I did the first post about our wedding (1 year ago now!) that I would now try and fast forward from our wedding to the Summer of 2011! Then I will be mostly caught up and can really start to take pictures and write blog posts in order like a good little blogger would! These pictures are a little out of order, but oh well!
We sold for Liberty this past summer. So this is what we did for most of the summer... but it was fun to be able to spend lots of time together!

We were able to make it for Jordan & Jade's wedding this summer. Logan and Jord are not only cousins but best buds so it was great to be able to be in the temple and be apart of their wonderful day!

At the end of the summer we were fortunate enough to be able to head down to Southern California to return to Logan's mission and visit families and friends. It was so wonderful for me to be able to connect people with all the stories and neat experiences that Logan has told me about. It was a fun-filled and amazing week!

For selling this summer we had the opportunity to head up North to Whitehorse to sell. We were able to spend time with the Taits up there (Logan's Mom is from Yukon, so there is lots of family up there still). This is Darryl (one of the "dozen cousins" on the Tait side) and his girlfriend Alisha.

Oh boy these pictures are so out of order... but oh well. I'm just getting the hang of this blogging thing. We went down to Southern Alberta in July and spent some time with our families. One of Logan's favorite things to do is shoot guns and play on the farm so when we made it to the Orrs he had some fun doing that!

This is all the Tait crew & co. while we were up in Whitehorse.

This is Lourdes from Logan's mission. She is such a wonderful lady. We were so blessed to be able to spend time with so many amazing people!

This is a couple of families that we were able to get together with in Whittier. It was so fun!

Right before we headed off to Saskatoon for the school year we were able to go on a bike trip with some of the Orrs. It was awesome! We bundled up and barely missed a hail storm and headed over Logan's Pass. It was so beautiful!

At the Logan's Pass Visitors Center.

At Avalanche Falls I think? Or something close to that... I don't remember.

Me, Emilie and Tess. Although I have hardly any pictures to show for it, we went down to Sophie Lake with my side of the family to my Uncle Al and Aunt Denise's cabin. They were generous enough to let us all come down and have some fun. We boated, swam in the pool, went hot tubbing,  shopped and just enjoyed being together! It was great!

One day Logan and I went to Huntington Beach while we were in Cali. This is a huge beach! But as I was walking out of the water and up to where our towels were I noticed some friendly faces right beside our stuff... the Tanner family! Their family was in my home ward when I was growing up. What are the chances?! It was a fun little coincidence though.. what a small world!

S.S. Klondike in Whitehorse, YT.

We got some family pictures done!

The Girls!

Da Boyz'

Overall, it was a great summer! We worked a lot, but were able to have lots of fun in between too.  I can feel Winter is approaching very quickly....

The First Post!

So we (more I, Sarah) decided it would be a good time to start a blog since we are away from all our family, as well since I need to pick it up in the journal writing department. I thought this would be a good way for me to improve on recording the fun things we do, as well it may motivate me to take more pictures too!  So hopefully this blog will help me improve on those things.
This past week we moved out to Saskatoon and are excited to be here! Logan is currently attending the U of S and just started his 4th semester of his degree and I just got a job at the Royal University Hospital on Maternity. Unfortunately I don't start for another month so I have some projects that I will get to finally do. I told Log he is going to eat well this month because I have a bunch of recipes that I have been wanting to try for a while too.

I'll start right from the beginning of our little family and post some belated pictures of our wedding day! We sure had a great day with the best part of it being sealed in the Cardston Temple.

This was such a special day to say the least. It was so great to have everyone in our immediate families there with us, as well lots of extended family and friends!
